PE & ATHLETICS AT 1ST LUTHERAN
Our PE class motto is “My body is a gift from God. It is my responsibility to respect it and take good care of it to glorify Him.”
At 1st Lutheran School, PE is based on 1 Corinthians 6:19 "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;". Our students are taught that physical fitness is not a competition between each other, but the opportunity to improve their individual health and wellness.
PE is conducted every Wednesday. Kindergarten to 2nd grade engage in PE for 30 minutes each week and Grades 3 to 8 participate for 45 minutes. Activities are based on helping students improve balance, coordination, strength, endurance, flexibility and mobility.
